Not assuming food in an efficient way, people might confront several negative and depressing consequences ranging from irreversible distractions to the environment to vast amount of potential income wasted. To any aspects, the disadvantages weigh more than the advantages of food waste. Therefore, as a IB student, I advocate us to cherish and respect the nutrition.
To begin with, it is necessary for a principled students to obey the rule that taking enough food for us to eat instead of putting a lot of beef or anything we prefer to eat and not finishing them with a shame. If you really fond of the juicy beef with the grilled surface, take little for many times and when you are full, you can just cease eating without anything left on your plate. Isn’t it a wise choice? Ordering food is the sane issue, especially in China. Being aware of the merits behind not squandering food, People would not order many plates in a bid to show their hospitality to the others.
Apart from being principled, respecting food also illustrates the caring characteristics of a student to farmers and shop assistants who ever work in the food industry providing their diligent work on the food. According to the survey conducted by China Daily, the peer farmers who live in far distinct earns 5 yuan for each kilo of peer, while in the market, each peer costs the consumers 15 yuan. The apparent difference between the prices emphasis the severe conditions of the one who prepare for our food very hard but gains a little. Hence, as caring as we are, it is our responsibility to save the food and revere the farmers.
In conclusion, based on the relationship of IB learner profile—principled and caring—and the action of reducing the waste of food, we encourage every IB student to start saving the food action.
